By 1970, the brand moved its operations to Nicaragua’s rich tobacco valleys, drawing on generations of tobacco farming expertise dating back to 19th-century Cuba. This transition allowed Padrón to control their tobacco from seed to finished cigar, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency.​
