FEATURED CIGAR BRAND | MARCH 2026
At Casablanca Cigar Bar, we believe that a great cigar is never just a cigar. It's a story. It's a tradition. It's the result of years of dedication, an intimate understanding of the land, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. That's exactly why we're proud to shine the spotlight on our featured brand for March: Perdomo Cigars.
Whether you're a seasoned aficionado who's been reaching for a Perdomo for years or a curious newcomer looking to explore something exceptional, this is a brand worth knowing. Pull up a seat, pour yourself something worthy, and let us tell you about the Perdomo Way.
A Family Business Rooted in Nicaragua
Founded by Nick Perdomo, Jr., Perdomo Cigars is a family-owned and operated company headquartered in Miami, Florida — but its heart beats deep in the fertile valleys of Estelí, Condega, and the legendary Jalapa region of Nicaragua. As a fully vertically integrated manufacturer, Perdomo controls every single step of the journey, from seed in the soil to cigar in your hand.

That kind of ownership over the process isn't common. It takes enormous investment, expertise, and an obsession with getting it right. For Nick and the Perdomo family, it's simply the only way to guarantee that every cigar bearing their name meets their exacting standards.
3,054 Steps to the Perfect Cigar
It takes 3,054 steps to make a Perdomo cigar. Let that sink in for a moment. From the greenhouse where each young tobacco plant is carefully nurtured in a climate-controlled environment, to the curing barns where harvested leaves hang for up to 65 days, slowly losing their chlorophyll and developing that signature color and texture — every detail is deliberate.

After curing, the tobacco is fermented in pilóns — massive bundles weighing roughly 3,600 pounds each — for a minimum of three years. The temperature and humidity of each pilón are monitored daily to ensure the leaves develop naturally to the perfect color, aroma, and flavor. This painstaking process is led by tobacco legend Aristides Garcia, whose 75+ years of experience in the craft are woven into every blend.
And for those who love a good bourbon pairing (we know you're out there), you'll appreciate this: some of Perdomo's most distinctive tobaccos are aged in American white oak bourbon barrels, where the layers of char caramelize the flavors and deliver a smooth, rich smoking experience that pairs beautifully with what's in your glass.
Quality That Doesn't Cut Corners
Every finished Perdomo cigar is inspected 17 times before it leaves the factory. Every single one is draw-tested. The wrapper is hand-applied by skilled rollers using a centuries-old technique. The finished cigars then age for six to eight months in humidity- and temperature-controlled rooms where the flavors — as Nick himself would say — marry together into something perfect.
Perdomo also has the distinction of being the only cigar manufacturer to fully absorb the punitive SCHIP federal excise tax across all of its brands — a commitment to keeping premium cigars accessible without compromising on what goes into them. That's the kind of integrity that earns loyalty.
